I’ve been involved in athletics my entire life. I love many sports and still play and compete. My current favorites are volleyball, hiking, rock climbing and biking.

In high school I started lifting weights in the gym to get stronger alongside my sports and my body felt so much better for it. I had to learn why, so my journey began.

College is where I officially began my Fitness career taking courses, certifications, teaching group fitness classes, and personal training. I received a BFA from the University of Arizona studying Fine Art Photography.  Pursuing my love of this visual art allowed me to see the world and the body in motion differently as I graduated. My attention to detail in my art spilled over into my love of fitness.

Coaching athletes and individuals to improve their lives through fitness and sports is an honor and is central to who I am. As a lifetime learner, teacher, and coach, I have taught every level and age from beginners to pro athletes for over 20 years. I’ve also hired and managed teams of professional trainers and instructors throughout these years.

I work with my clients to assess their fitness needs, resolve challenges, deliver results and educate them about their bodies.

I believe exercise should be social and fun. Personally, I stay connected to many of my close friends and family members through fitness and outdoor adventures. There’s always a playful side to it all.

I have earned the following accreditations and certifications:

  • ACSM (American College of Sports Medicine) certified Personal Trainer
  • C.H.E.K. (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiologist) Practitioner
  • H.L.C. (Holistic Lifestyle Coach)
  • STOTT PILATES Matwork, Reformer, and CCB Certified Instructor All Levels
  • Certified in many modalities, such as Golf Biomechanics, Spinning, Kickboxing, Meditation, Postural Assessment, FMS, Injury and Special Populations, etc.
  • Consciousness Collaborative Member - 6 years working with high level practitioners collaborating our skills as we help our clients holistically.
  • Creator and Owner of Equilibrium Retreats - 7 years of running a fitness retreat business in contract with PGA National Resort & Spa.

I started training with Lisa in 1999. I can say without hesitation that personal training is the most important thing I’ve done for my long-term health and well-being.
Lisa is a great communicator and even with FaceTime lessons, I easily understand what she wants from me.
Lisa continually works to improve her own skills taking courses, going to conferences, etc which ultimately benefit me.
