Hypermobility is when a person’s joints have greater range of motion than normal,  aka loose joints. One can move their limb(s) into positions that others can’t. For many, this causes pain, joint instability and degradation, lowered proprioception and overall muscle weakness. Yikes! 

Due to all this, poor movement patterns develop and your muscles become imbalanced making your joints vulnerable. While loose joints can’t be shortened to help support your body, the good news is the surrounding muscles can.
